On June 18, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced that the COVID-19 vaccine is available for children 6 months through 5 years of age. Families can obtain either Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech (Pfizer) vaccines for their children at pediatric practices, pharmacies, Federally Qualified Health Centers, local health departments, clinics, and other locations.
Please note:
- Moderna is a 2-dose series.
- Pfizer is a 3-dose series.
The CDC recommends that all children, including children who have already had COVID-19, should get vaccinated. Superior HealthPlan members and/or their families may reach out to their doctor to get more information or ask where vaccines for children are available.
