Date: 02/14/25

Children and youth in STAR Health, as well as their caregivers and families (including kinship families), have access to Turning Point programs.

These programs offer emergency assessment, crisis respite and crisis intervention to help families avoid behavioral health ER visits and inpatient admissions. You do not need a referral to access services. The programs are offered at no cost.

Benefits of these programs include:

  1. Mental health assessment.
  2. Crisis respite.
  3. Counseling.
  4. Referrals to additional services and resources, as needed.

Through Turning Point, children and youth in STAR Health and their caregivers can get help to prevent hospitalizations and disruptions in placement.
